因为锅炉结垢后,又要保持一定的工作压力及蒸发量,只有提高火侧的温度,但是水垢越厚,导热系数越低,火侧的温度就得越高。一般说来锅炉火侧的温度在900℃左右,而水侧的温度在190℃左右。当没有水垢时钢板的温度在230℃左右,一旦结垢1m左右,钢板的温度比无垢时提高了140℃左右。20#钢板当温度达到315℃时,金属的各项可塑性指标开始下降,当达到450℃时,金属会因过热而蠕动变形。所以锅炉结垢是很容易使金属被烧损的。
